About

I’m an interior designer from Oceanside, CA, who has two amazing boys and one fabulous husband. I use my free time (i.e. nap and bedtime) to find inspiration to write my own blog. My interest in all things beautiful and fascinating started young with designing my own jewelry and selling it in grade school. I moved on to more ambitious ventures such as making clothes out of paper and creating an array of items from empty paper towel rolls.
I attended FIDM in LA and Orange County and received my degree in Visual Communications which led me to doing retail display design for Macy’s, Nordstrom, Lamps Plus and an upscale boutique in La Jolla. At one point I designed and sold tops made of vintage tees and ties (a business venture ruined by Urban Outfitters), and painted entire home interiors by myself. I also spent years in the construction industry and was the general contractor on my own recent home remodel. Needless to say, my experience in my 27 years has been varied, but I believe that is what makes me a strong designer. And I suppose my love of the unusual and ironic is what will keep you coming back for more.
